The Bad Guys is a 2022 American computer-animated crime comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures. The film was directed by Pierre Perifel (in his feature directorial debut) from a screenplay by Etan Cohen, and is based on the children’s book series by Aaron Blabey, who serves as an executive producer. The film stars the voices of Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Anthony Ramos, Craig Robinson and Awkwafina as a group of criminal animals who, upon being caught, pretend to attempt to reform themselves as model citizens. However, the gang, especially Mr. Wolf, unexpectedly find themselves genuinely drawn to changing their ways, even as a new villain has his own plans. Richard Ayoade, Zazie Beetz, Lilly Singh, and Alex Borstein also appear in supporting roles.
The Bad Guys began its theatrical release in several international markets, starting on March 16, 2022, and is scheduled to be released in the United States on April 22, in 2D and RealD 3D formats.
