Dwayne Johnson has announced that both DC’s League of Super-Pets and Black Adam have been delayed.
Johnson took to his Instagram account today to announce the news that his two upcoming DC projects have been delayed. DC’s League of Super-Pets is moving from May 20, 2022 to July 29, 2022. That date was previously occupied by Black Adam which will now be moving to Oct. 21, 2022.
This is going to create an interesting DC glut at the end of the year. Currently, this puts Black Adam on Oct. 21, The Flash on Nov. 4, and em>Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom on Dec. 16.
While no announcements were made beyond Johnson’s two projects, it seems it is only a matter of time until both Flash and Aquaman move to new dates. The question is where they will move date-wise. The first DC film in 2023 is Shazam: Fury of the Gods on June 2, 2023, so there is some range to move in before it would have to move as well. But the likelihood that Warner Bros. wants to release three tent poles so close together is highly unlikely, so expect some announcements in the near future.
For now, adjust your calendars accordingly.
